Reading -The Cay, E-portfolio Sample - Comprehension
Write an “ITTM” for the following sentences:
After a moment of silence, I heard the sizzle of the water as Timothy doused the torch.
I think that means that after the time of silence Phillip listened to the crackle of the clear liquid as Timothy turned the light off.


For more than a week, I knew he had been labouring over nails to turn them into fish hooks.
I think that means that for about eight days I knew Timothy had been working on top of sharp working tool to make them into fishing tools
Roadblocks! There were many roadblocks for us in this book! Choose at least two of the following words to explain and ‘clear the roadblock’ for.
Alabaster -  a soft mineral  
Cay - an island
Jumbi - bad luck
Langosta - a crayfish
Malaria - a disease caused by mosquitoes


Write down at least three things Phillip learnt whilst on the cay (for example, about himself, caring for others and life etc)
To survive by himself and look after Stu cat.
You can achieve things even if you are blind.
It doesn't matter what colour skin you are.

Cross Country Reflection 1. How did your Cross Country training go? I went okay  because kept my pace over the whole fortnight. Yes I improved my lap number because I didn't worry how far in front Ethan was to me I paced myself to get in front myself to get in front . 3. What value did you show on Friday at Cross Country? How? I showed brave by when I didn't feel to good I pushed myself to the finish line. 4. Who else did you notice showing one of our school values (they could be from another class or syndicate)? How? Kaden Wilson showed  connect be encouraging everyone who he saw to make them feel good.

Term 2 Visual Art - “Creature Features” Name of your creature: black mamba draft What part of your sketch did you find the most challenging and why? The hardest part for me was doing one layer of scales with pencil and having to do the second layer with a sharp black colouring pencil which took some time. final piece What part of your final piece do you like the most and why? I liked the face the most because it had unique feature to make it stand out.
